Techno-Boob

Did you know unsupported breasts can bounce up to 21 centimetres during exercise.

Um, ouch.

According to new research, this movement is a good 5 centimetres more than previously thought.

For their study, researchers from The University of Portsmouth used a wide range of subjects including cup sizes up to a double J. Need a bit of perspective on what a double J is? Glamour model Jordan is an F... I'm stopping at googling "Double J breasts" for fear of what I might find... I'll leave that up to you...

Again I say: Um, ouch.

The research had some interesting findings:

  • "encapsulation bras are better at reducing breast movement in women of all cup sizes" - In other words, primary school style crop tops do nothing - even if you are an A-cup. Wear a real bra if you've passed puberty.
  • "sports bras were shown to be successful at reducing breast pain for 80% of women" - So if you have pain in this area, MAKE SURE YOU'RE WEARING A GOOD BRA!!
  • "breasts move as much during slow jogging as they do at maximum sprint speed" - Even if you're walking the dog, wear a good sports bra, not your saucy lacies.
  • "breasts also move side to side and in and out"

Consider yourself warned.
